Meet the Team

After nearly a decade away, Dr. Nickolas Felten is proud to return to his Minnesota roots and once again call the Twin Cities home. Being closer to family and serving the community he loves makes this next chapter especially meaningful.

Dr. Felten earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. He then completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency, where he received advanced training in oral surgery, extractions, complex restorations, crowns and bridges, removable prosthodontics, endodontics, dental implants and cosmetic procedures — including veneers.

He is passionate about comprehensive dental care and patient education, believing that personalized treatment plans can truly enhance both health and confidence. Dr. Felten is also committed to lifelong learning and has completed extensive continuing education in dental implant placement, surgical techniques, and restorations.

Outside of the office, Dr. Felten enjoys fishing, exploring all that the Twin Cities have to offer with his partner, and spending time with his dog, Chex. He embraces Minnesota’s changing seasons and looks forward to building lasting relationships with patients throughout the community.

Veronica joined Blue Jay Family Dentistry in June 2025 and is often the first friendly face you’ll see when you walk through our doors. Since day one, her favorite part of the job has been getting to know the wonderful patients who make up our community.

A Twin Cities native (with a four-year college detour in Duluth), Veronica brings warmth, energy and a personal touch to everything she does. Outside the office, she’s a proud loud-laugher, passionate book lover, natural storyteller and someone who strives to make the world a little brighter each day.

Claire has been delivering exceptional, compassionate care as a licensed dental hygienist since earning her Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Rochester Community and Technical College in 2021. She brings a gentle touch and a commitment to excellence to every patient interaction.

Claire is proud to be part of the Blue Jay Family Dentistry team, where she thrives in a friendly, flexible environment focused on providing top-tier patient experiences. “I love the collaborative spirit here,” she says. “Everyone plays a role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and maintaining the high standard of care we’re known for.”

Outside of the office, Claire enjoys boating, playing the violin and unwinding with her favorite video games.

With many years of experience as a licensed dental assistant, Tristy is dedicated to delivering high-quality, comprehensive dental care in a setting that’s both welcoming and comfortable. Her calming presence and attention to detail help ensure every patient feels at ease throughout their visit.

Tristy finds joy in balancing her professional life with an active and fulfilling personal life. She loves spending time with her two daughters and enjoys being outdoors during the warmer months — especially running with her dog. When winter rolls around, you’ll find her bowling in leagues or relaxing with a good action movie. A true car enthusiast, Tristy also has a passion for muscle cars and enjoys attending car shows whenever she can.
